Safety Director – Responsible for the implementation of the Emergency Plan and for communicating with the Fire Department in an emergency.    

Office Manager - Responsible for calling the Fire Department, alerting employees and escorting visitors to the outside area of safe refuge.

Department Managers - Responsible for overseeing employee instruction, supervising and ensuring the safe and complete evacuation during a fire, other emergency or fire drill. Reports casualties, fires, and chemical spills to the Safety Director.  Meets employees at safe refuge area and takes head count. Coordinates duties of group leaders and reports to the Safety Director.

THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES MUST BE FOLLOWED:

·   CONTAIN CHEMICAL SPILLS

·   CALL 911 – CALL MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL

·   SHUT DOWN MACHINERY

·   CHECK ALL EQUIPMENT IF SAFE TO DO SO

·    EVACUATE TO SAFE REFUGE AREA IF NECESSARY

·    PERFORM EMPLOYEE HEAD COUNT
